The TP-Link XN020-G3 GPON/EPON Fiber Router is an all-in-one XPON router built specifically for Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) internet connections — combining a fiber optic modem, wireless access point, and network switch into a single compact device.
Dual XPON mode support
Unlike routers built for only one fiber standard, the XN020-G3 supports both GPON and EPON with automatic mode switching, giving it broader compatibility across different fiber ISP infrastructures.
Fiber speed capability
Compliant with ITU-T G.984/G.988 GPON standards, the XN020-G3 supports maximum data rates up to 2.488 Gbps downstream and 1.244 Gbps upstream over the fiber connection itself far beyond what a typical home internet plan currently uses, so the hardware won’t be your bottleneck as ISPs upgrade plan speeds.
Wireless and wired connectivity
On the wireless side, it delivers Wireless N speeds up to 300 Mbps on the 2.4GHz band via two fixed 5dBi external antennas — solid for everyday browsing, streaming, and general use in small to medium homes or offices. A Gigabit Ethernet LAN port (10/100/1000 Mbps) provides fast, stable wired connections for PCs, smart TVs, or gaming consoles.
Built for IPTV and remote management
IGMP Proxy/Snooping along with Bridge and Tag VLAN support optimize IPTV streaming quality. TR-069 and OMCI protocol support let internet service providers remotely configure, monitor, and manage the device a feature aimed primarily at ISP deployment rather than individual end-user setup.
Security
The device supports SN/Password authentication, upstream/downstream FEC, and AES encryption to keep the fiber connection secure.
Extra features
- 16 T-CONTs and 256 GEM Ports for efficient bandwidth allocation
- IPv4 and IPv6 support
- SC/APC XPON port for fiber connectivity
