The Mercusys MW330HP is a 300Mbps wireless N router built specifically to push signal further through walls and obstacles a common problem in homes with thick walls or where the router has to sit away from where people actually use WiFi.
High-Power Signal And Coverage
Unlike standard routers that rely on an internal power amplifier built into the CPU, the MW330HP uses a stand-alone PA chip that delivers up to 2x the transmission power. Combined with three 7dBi high-gain antennas, this is designed to punch through walls and obstacles that would weaken a typical router’s signal. A dedicated Turbo button lets you instantly boost coverage further with a single press, switching from average to maximized wireless range.
Ports And Network Features
On the wired side, it includes 3x 10/100Mbps LAN ports and 1x 10/100Mbps WAN port. It supports WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK wireless security, a separate 2.4GHz guest network, and WDS bridging for extending an existing network. Setup and management can be handled through the Mercusys app or the standard web interface.
- Stand-Alone PA Chip — Up to 2x transmission power compared to routers with an internal amplifier.
- 3x 7dBi High-Gain Antennas — Boosts wireless range and coverage.
- Turbo Button — Instantly enhances signal strength and expands coverage with one press.
- 3 LAN + 1 WAN 10/100Mbps Ports — Wired connections for everyday devices.
- Guest Network & WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK Security — Separate guest access and standard wireless encryption.
This makes the MW330HP a good fit for homes or small offices where a standard router’s signal doesn’t reach every room thick walls, multi-room layouts, or a router stuck in an awkward spot. For higher speeds or dual-band flexibility, the Mercusys MW325R or dual-band MR30G are better fits than this router’s single-band, power-focused design.
