TP-Link Archer AX10 AX1500 Wi-Fi 6 Router

The TP-Link Archer AX10, also sold as the Archer AX1500, is an entry-level Wi-Fi 6 router that adds a few practical extras over TP-Link’s most basic AX1500-class options, like a stronger processor and full VPN support.

Wi-Fi 6 Speed And Performance

It delivers combined wireless speeds up to 1.5 Gbps 1201 Mbps on the 5GHz band and 300 Mbps on the 2.4GHz band using Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax). A 1.5GHz tri-core processor handles OFDMA and 2×2 MU-MIMO for smoother performance across connected devices, and Target Wake Time (TWT) helps extend battery life on mobile and IoT devices. Four antennas with Beamforming focus the signal toward connected devices for broader coverage.

Ports, Security And Smart Home Support

On the wired side, it includes 1 Gigabit WAN port and 4 Gigabit LAN ports for full-speed wired connections. It supports WPA3 encryption, an SPI firewall, and IP/MAC address binding, along with separate 2.4GHz and 5GHz guest networks. The Archer AX10 also supports VPN Client and Server (OpenVPN, PPTP, L2TP/IPSec, WireGuard) for secure remote access, and works with Amazon Alexa for voice control. Setup runs through the TP-Link Tether app.

• AX1500 Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6 — Up to 1.5 Gbps combined (1201 Mbps on 5GHz, 300 Mbps on 2.4GHz).
• 1.5GHz Tri-Core Processor — Handles OFDMA and MU-MIMO for smoother multi-device performance.
• 4 Antennas With Beamforming — Focused signal for broader coverage.
• 1 Gigabit WAN + 4 Gigabit LAN Ports — Full Gigabit wired connectivity.
• VPN Client And Server Support — OpenVPN, PPTP, L2TP/IPSec, and WireGuard for secure remote access.
• Amazon Alexa Compatible — Voice control for network management.

This makes the Archer AX10 a solid choice for anyone who wants Wi-Fi 6 basics plus VPN support and Alexa compatibility without paying for higher AX3000+ speeds. Buyers who don’t need VPN or voice control may find the simpler Archer AX12 sufficient at a similar price point, while the AX10’s extra LAN port and tri-core CPU give it a slight edge for households with more wired devices.

Coverage

Four high-gain external antennas with beamforming direct signal more precisely toward connected devices, reducing dead zones near bedrooms or upper floors.
